Trimdon Grange, County Durham born winger Jack Craggs played junior football for Trimdon Grange in 1900 before joining First Division Sunderland in 1901 making his Football League debut against Everton that November and scoring twice in 6 games as they won the League Championship that season. He left to join Southern League Reading in 1902 but returned to Roker Park in 1903 spending 2 years back on Wearside scoring 12 goals in 37 further appearances before joining Nottingham Forest in November 1904. His Forest career started slowly but he was a regular as they were relegated in 1905-06 and scored 8 goals in 56 appearances before joining non league Sutton Town in 1907. He later played for Houghton Rovers in 1908 and West Stanley in 1909 before retirement.
