Denny, Stirlingshire born right back Thomas Scott signed for Falkirk from Denny Hibs in 1917 and along with Thomas Ferguson, Falkirk’s long serving goalkeeper, was a mainstay of their defence for over a decade. He made his Falkirk debut in a Scottish League match at Dumbarton in August 1917, and he went on to play 420 games for Falkirk in the League and Scottish Cup, 472 in all competitions, with a good scoring record for a right back with 19 Scottish League and Cup goals, mainly penalties.
He represented The Scottish League against The Football League in Glasgow in March 1922, a match lost by a single goal, and also went on the Scottish FA’s 1927 tour of Canada, playing in 7 of the fixtures between the end of May and the beginning of July. He was released by Falkirk in 1929 and spent the 1929-30 season at Morton before retirement.
