Description

Glasgow born amateur inside forward Danny Templeton served as an Air Mechanic 2nd Class in the Royal Air Force during the First World War and around the same time was playing for Queen’s Park, for whom he made his Scottish League debut at Heart of Midlothian in November 1916. He scored twice in 19 appearances for The Spiders in 1916-17 but military service then prevented him from making any further appearances until October 1920. He then scored 6 goals in 51 further appearances for Queen’s Park over two seasons before transferring to Partick Thistle in the 1922 close season.

He had a single season at Firhill, scoring once in 13 appearances for The Jags during 1922-23 before joining Ayr United where he played for two seasons, scoring once in 24 appearances for The Honest Men before leaving senior football in 1924.
