Liverpool born goalkeeper Harry Bradshaw was playing for South Liverpool in 1920 and was subsequently signed by Third Division (North) Tranmere Rovers in the 1921 close season, for whom he made his Football League debut in their inaugural League fixture against Crewe Alexandra in August 1921, missing only 4 matches during their first League season. Over the next two seasons he played 61 matches for Tranmere before joining non league Ellesmere Port Cement Works in 1923.
