Left back or left half Hugh Thom made 28 Scottish League appearances for amateur club Queen’s Park, making his Scottish League debut in a victory over Ayr United in October 1919. A regular in Queen’s Park’s first team from the start of the 1920-21 season, he played in every game until losing his place after a draw with Heart of Midlothian in October 1920, possibly sustaining injury, and he never made a further appearance for them.
