Description
West Bromwich, Staffordshire born left back Arthur Perry began his football career with West Bromwich Baptists from where he signed for First Division club West Bromwich Albion, making his Football League debut against Everton in November 1923. A regular in his first two seasons at The Hawthorns, he lost his place in September 1925 and was a fringe player for two seasons before joining Birmingham & District League club Wellington Town in 1927 after 81 matches for The Baggies. He had spells at both Crystal Palace in 1927-28 and Merthyr Town in 1928-29 without making a first team breakthrough at either club and his career after leaving Merthyr Town is uncertain.
