He left Rangers April 1908 after 52 goals in 110 appearances to move to England signing for First Division Blackburn Rovers and made his Football League debut at Bury the same month. After 8 goals in 38 appearances he joined Bradford Park Avenue in August 1909 but didn’t play for their first eleven before returning to Scotland with Bo’Ness. After a brief stint in Ireland at Linfield in 1910, Kyle returned to Scotland and played with Clyde in September 1910, joining St Mirren in the close season of 1911 and Hamilton Academical in 1913 before retirement.
