Centre forward Dave Kilgour is a club record holding goalscorer for Forfar Athletic. Signed from junior club Dundee Violet in 1928, he gave notice in his debut season of his prolific striking with 25 goals in 27 appearances. The following season he created a club record which still stands by scoring 46 goals in only 37 appearances, and he followed this up with 35 goals in 38 appearances in 1930-31. However he didn’t play (due to injury?) for most of the 1931-32 season, eventually playing 4 more matches in March and April 1932, scoring once, which proved the last of his Forfar career, after 107 strikes in 106 appearances.
