Finsbury Park, London born outside right Alf Jennings began his football career with Barnet and played for Sydney club Granville in 1921 before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 1922, where he didn’t get to make a first team appearance. He subsequently moved to non league club Poole in 1925 from where he signed for Second Division club Oldham Athletic in 1926, making his Football League debut in a win at Darlington that August. He also played two weeks later in a win at Bradford City but these matches proved the extent of his senior career and he returned to Poole in 1927, his last recorded club.
