Wilpshire, near Blackburn, Lancashire born centre half Harry Hindle began his football career in junior football with St James Road, Blackburn in 1899, and played for Oswaldtwistle Rovers in 1900, from where he joined hometown First Division professional club Blackburn Rovers, for whom he made his Football League debut at Bury in March 1902. He made a further appearance at Liverpool in a 5-2 defeat that September, after which he didn’t feature in the first eleven again before joining Lancashire Combination club Nelson in 1904. He then moved to Southern League West Ham United in the summer of 1905, making 3 appearances for them in September and October of that year. He later played for non league Hurst in 1909.
