He was on the wing as West Bromwich also won the FA Cup in 1892, beating Aston Villa 3-0 at The Kennington Oval, with Geddes scoring the first goal.

After 28 goals in 79 appearances for The Baggies, Geddes moved south via Clapham Rovers in April 1984 to Southern League Millwall Athletic in September 1894. Geddes had second spells with firstly, West Bromwich Albion, in the Football League re-joining them in April 1895, scoring 3 goals in 3 games including twice in a dramatic last match 6-0 home win over Sheffield Wednesday, helping The Baggies to avoid relegation; then returning to Millwall Athletic the following month, where he had four further seasons including 1896-97, when he had his most successful scoring season with 12 goals. In total he scored 41 goals in 102 appearances for Millwall.
