Gorbals, Glasgow born centre forward David Fulton started in Glasgow junior football with St Mark’s (Glasgow) and Pollok Athletic before joining Kilmarnock in 1913. He stayed five years with Killie but for a short loan spell at Dumbarton Harp in 1916, before joining St Mirren in 1918 after 22 goals in 123 appearances for Kilmarnock. He then played for Clydebank in 1920, moving Bo’ness the following year and on to Dunfermline Athletic later in 1921. He joined Third Division (North) Tranmere Rovers early in 1922 making his Football League debut at Darlington that February and scoring 3 times in 8 appearances for Rovers, all 3 of his goals coming in home fixtures.
