Cronberry, Ayrshire born right half or centre half Mick Donagher began his football career with Cronberry Eglinton, from where he was signed by Second Division club Barnsley, for whom he made his Football League debut at Doncaster Rovers in September 1904. A regular during his two seasons at Oakwell, he scored his only in a 2-0 win over Grimsby Town in September 1905, but returned to Scotland at the end of the season joining Lochgelly United. After a season he joined Raith Rovers and played five seasons for The Rovers, playing for them in their first season in the Scottish top flight, before returning to Lochgelly United in 1911, where he saw out the remainder of his career.
