Fenton born wing half Albert Beech played for Stoke St Peter’s and Leek Alexandra before joining Second Division Port Vale in 1931, making his Football League debut and a single appearance for his hometown club against Manchester United in November 1931. He joined Altrincham in 1933 but returned to Football League action with Huddersfield Town in 1934, scoring 4 goals in 22 appearances for Huddersfield over three seasons, before moving to Notts County in 1937. He played 14 times for Notts in 1937-38 before joining non league Northwich Victoria in 1938.
