Description
Liverpool born full back George Jackson played junior football for nearby Walton Parish Church before joining First Division Everton in May 1932, going on loan to Marine the following year to gain experience. He made his Football League debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers in February 1935 and after 9 games in his debut season, played 18 and 26 times respectively during 1935-36 and 1936-37. However he became a fringe player before the Second World War and lost 6 years of football to the War, returning to Goodison Park at the end of the conflict and playing his last game of 79 for The Toffees in April 1948 before he joined non league Caernarvon Town in 1949.
