South Bank, Middlesbrough born right back Bobby Brown began his football career with South Bank before joining First Division club Middlesbrough in 1906, making his Football League debut at April in 1907. After 5 matches at the end of the season, Brown featured in a further 21 matches for ‘Boro between September 1907 and January 1908 as Middlesbrough finished sixth in the First Division, when he lost his place after an FA Cup defeat at Notts County. He then joined Bristol City in 1908 but made only 3 appearances in early 1909, before later in the year returning to Cleveland where he joined non league Warrenby Athletic.
