Description
Maryhill, Glasgow born forward Robert Stevenson began his football career with Maryhill Juniors in 1912 and played for Petershill in 1912, from where he was signed by Greenock Morton in 1913 before the outbreak of the First World War.
During the War he continued to play Scottish League football for Morton while serving in The Black Watch, scoring 54 goals in 222 appearances for The Ton before being signed by St Mirren for £250 in May 1921.
He scored 15 goals in 74 appearances for The Buddies before leaving to join Clydebank in April 1924, but only played 7 matches for The Bankies before joining Arthurlie, for whom he also played 5 matches in their 1924-25 campaign.
