Description

Frodsham, Cheshire born outside left Harry Savage joined Crewe Alexandra in 1919 after the end of the First World War, before being signed by First Division club Sheffield United for £750 in May 1920, making his Football League debut against Sunderland that August. Savage made 10 appearances for The Blades without scoring during the opening two months of the 1920-21 campaign, before joining Third Division (South) club Watford in June 1921 for £250.

However he only featured 7 times for The Hornets, scoring his only goal in his final match in a 2-2 draw with Swindon Town in April 1922, before joining Welsh non league club Connah’s Quay & Shotton in the close season. He also played for Mold Town in 1923 before a spell with hometown Cheshire League club Frodsham in 1924, his final recorded club before his eventual retirement.
