Inside forward Edwin Revill was part of the Queens Park Rangers side that won the Southern League Championship in 1911-12, when he was Rangers’ joint top scorer with Dan McKie with 16 goals. He then scored in Rangers’ 2-1 defeat to League Champions Blackburn Rovers in the FA Charity Shield match at White Hart Lane in May 1912. The match report states “The Rangers returned to the attack and Revill was conspicuous for some clever work. He scored the Rangers’ only goal with a splendid shot, which very much surprised the Rovers defence.” He also represented The London Football Association. Full biography to follow.
