Goalkeeper Robert George Cameron Peden was born in St Andrews in 1906 and played football for St Andrews University and then for East Fife before joining Glasgow amateur club Queen’s Park. Described at the time as “a clever and capable ‘keeper” he made his debut for Queens Park in August 1928, making 113 Scottish League Division 1 and Scottish Cup appearances for The Spiders through to January 1932. He subsequently played 1 game for Dundee in 1933-34. He was a Scottish Amateur international.
