Dundee born centre forward David Paris played both sides of the Second World War, having started his career at junior side Dundee Arnot. Described as “one of the rolling stones of football”, bis clubs included Alloa Athletic, Arbroath (for whom he played one match as a trialist at Ayr United in October 1947) Brechin City, East Fife, Montrose, and Stirling Albion. It was said of him: “Chockful of courage he has a grand scoring shit and he is very slick with his head… and provides inspiration and drive to the forward rank”. Full biography to follow.
