Description
Renton, Dunbartonshire born right back Denis O’Hare began his football career with Vale of Leven Juniors and St Anthony’s played for Partick Thistle from the early 1920’s until 1930. In 1928 he received a benefit match that September when Glasgow Celtic were the visitors to Firhill, a match that ended in a 3-3 draw. Celtic signed him from Partick Thistle when he became available mid-way through the 1930-31 season but he never made a first team appearance for The Bhoys and he remained in their reserves. Although selected for the 1931 tour of the USA and Canada, he seems to have been released before the party embarked. He later played in the French League for Cercle Athletique de Paris.
