Born near Forfar, Angus, centre half David “Dyken” Nicoll started his football career with Forfar Celtic and signed for his local club Forfar Athletic in 1912 before joining Dundee in 1919, having played football while serving with the Army during the First World War. In January 1926 he signed for Dundee United but only played 5 times for United before being released. Full biography to follow.
