Description

Haydock, Lancashire born right back Jack Moran began his football career with Earlestown, from where he signed for Third Division (North) club Wigan Borough in October 1924, for whom he made his Football League debut at Wrexham in September 1925. In 1926-27 Moran was an ever present and played most of Wigan’s matches through to his sale to Second Division club Tottenham Hotspur in June 1931 after 210 matches for Wigan Borough.

Moran played 12 matches for Tottenham through to February 1932 before joining Watford for a fee of £150 in September, 1932. He had three seasons as a regular for Watford, losing his place in September 1935, by when he had 111 matches for The Hornets, whereupon he signed for Mansfield Town in March 1936. He had one further season at Field Mill before retiring in the summer of 1937 after 32 matches for The Stags.
