Llanbradach, Caerphilly born wing half Billy Moore began his senior football career with Third Division (South) Cardiff City and made his Football League debut at Millwall in November 1934. He made 12 appearances during his breakthrough season for The Bluebirds, and at the end of the season joined Southampton. However he was a reserve team player at The Dell and never made the breakthrough into their first eleven, joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1936. He was similarly a reserve team player at Molineux, and left the professional game some time thereafter.
