Description
Enfield born goalkeeper Reg Miles played football for his hometown club Enfield in 1928 before having a spell in Army football in 1929. He joined Aston Villa as an amateur and made his Football League debut at Liverpool in January 1931, making 16 appearances before the end of the season as the club also tried Percy Maggs and Fred Biddlestone before Harry Morton emerged as their principal goalkeeper the next season. Miles joined Millwall, still an amateur, in the summer of 1931 and spent 1931-32 on their books without making an appearance for The Lions before joining non league Dulwich Hamlet in 1932.
