Description
Inverness born Herbert McPherson began his football career with Inverness Thistle and after a trial with Scottish League club Partick Thistle in August 1908, signed for them the following month. After a single season with The Jags he was signed by First Division club Liverpool in May 1909 but he didn’t make a first team appearance for The Reds and re-joined Inverness in 1910, subsequently joining Dumbarton the same September, where he was forced to retire after breaking his leg in a match in January 1912.
