Glasgow born Alexander Bryce McKenzie, known as Alick, made his debut for Rangers in a Scottish Cup tie against Third Lanark in October 1884 and played 6 matches during Rangers’ first League seasons from 1890, scoring 5 goals. He played at centre forward but would also play as a goalkeeper, In addition to his League games, he played in 12 Scottish Cup ties, scoring 3 goals. as well as scoring 10 goals in 17 minor Cup matches eg Glasgow Cup, Glasgow Merchants Charity Cup over eight seasons at Rangers.
McKenzie was the younger brother of Dugald McKenzie who served as Vice President, President and a director of Rangers from between 1890 and 1906. Alick McKenzie himself served on the Glasgow Rangers Board od Directors from 1899 to 1911.
