Rothesay, Bute born right back Jock McGee began his football career with Bute Comrades in 1919 and joined Leeds United in 1920. His only appearance for Leeds came in an FA Cup preliminary round tie against Boothtown in a 5-2 win in September 1920, but he was released without making a League appearance and joined Harrogate in 1921. Second Division Hull City signed him in 1922 and he made his Football League debut against Fulham in September 1922. Although he was never a first team regular, he had 5 seasons at Boothferry Park making 80 appearances, but he was forced to retire from the professional game in 1927 after sustaining a broken leg.
