Description
Strathblane, Stirlingshire born full back (who played on either side) Thomas McCulloch began his football career with Glasgow United in 1887 before joining Partick Thistle in 1888. He joined Glasgow Rangers in 1889 before moving south to join West Bromwich Albion in 1890, making his Football League debut against Preston North End in February 1891. The following season he played in all 7 FA Cup ties as The Baggies won the 1892 FA Cup, beating local rivals Aston Villa 3-0 in the Final at The Kennington Oval. McCulloch had a further season at West Brom before returning to Scotland in 1893 to join Stirling having made 55 appearances for Albion.
