Description
Millwall born winger Davie Maher began his senior football career with Southern League Millwall Athletic in 1901 and played for Brentford in 1902 before joining Second Division Preston North End in 1903, making his Football League debut at Blackpool that October and scoring twice in 15 appearances in the campaign as Preston won the Second Division Championship. However with Preston back in the top flight he was a fringe player over the next 2 seasons making only 12 further appearances, before joining Carlisle United in 1906, where he later ended his senior career.
