Description
Dundee born centre forward Tom Lonie began his football career with Dundee Harp in 1892 and Johnstone Wanderers in 1893 before spending 1893-94 with Notts County, without making a first team appearance. In the 1894 close season he joined Second Division club Darwen for whom he made his Football League debut at Bury that September, scoring twice in 8 appearances in the autumn before returning north to join Dundee Wanderers and then playing for Dundee later in 1894.
He joined First Division Stoke in 1895 and scored 4 goals in 9 top flight appearances during the autumn and winter of 1895 before a move to Leicester Fosse in 1896, where he scored 3 goals in 7 appearances for The Fossils during the first two months of the 1896-97 season, Leicester being his last known club.
