Goalkeeper David Lewis played three seasons for Southern League club Merthyr Town between 1909 and 1912. He was the club’s principal goalkeeper as they won the Southern League Second Division Championship in 1911-12, Lewis having won the South Wales Senior Cup with the club the previous season.
