Description
Blackburn born centre half Bob Haworth played junior football for Christ Church, Blackburn in 1895 before joining Darwen and spending the 1896-97 season with them, without making an appearance for their first eleven. He joined Blackburn Rovers in September 1897, making his Football League debut at Burnley in November 1898, becoming a regular member of their first eleven over the next 4 seasons. But by 1902 he lost his place in their team and only made 10 further appearances before joining Southern League Fulham in 1904, after 5 goals in 129 appearances. He spent 2 years with Fulham, joining Brentford in 1906, spending a season at Griffin Park before joining non league Chorley in 1907, and Clitheroe Central in 1908.
