Description

Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan born inside right Trevor Edmunds was on the books of Aberdare Athletic in 1926-27 but never played for the club, and played for Aberaman Athletic in 1927 before signing for Third Division (North) Bradford City in 1928, making his Football League debut against Rotherham United that August, scoring a hat-trick on his debut in an 11-1 victory which remains Bradford City’s record win. A single season yielded 11 goals in 21 games for The Bantams as they won the Third Division (North) Championship, before he signed for Chesterfield the following summer.

However at Saltergate he only managed 8 appearances scoring once before moving to non league Yeovil & Petters United in 1930. In the 1931 close season he briefly returned to League football with Second Division Charlton Athletic, for whom he scored 4 goals in 6 games, including two goals on his Addicks debut in a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest that August, before joining the exodus of professional players to the French League, where he played a season for Red Star Olympique, thereafter returning to the English non leagues with Worcester City in 1933 and Redditch Town in 1934 before his eventual retirement.
