West Bromwich born centre half Cyril Davies started his football career with Kidderminster Harriers in 1935 before joining hometown First Division club West Bromwich Albion, for whom he made his Football League debut in May 1938 at Wolverhampton Wanderers, playing two matches as Albion suffered season end relegation. The following season he featured 5 times for Albion in the Second Division but the Second World War put a halt to his career and after the War he played non league football for Stourbridge, joining them in 1947.
