Description

Dundee born wing half Jimmy Collins joined Swansea Town from Lochee Harp and made his Football League debut against Watford in September 1920. He was a fixture in the Swansea team throughout the 1920’s winning the Third Division (South) Championship in 1924-25, and reaching the FA Cup semi final the following season where they lost 3-0 to eventual winners Bolton Wanderers at White Hart Lane. He played a further five seasons in the Second Division and made a total of 304 appearances for Swansea and scored 9 goals playing his last match for The Swans in January 1930 before his retirement later that year.
