Description

Kirkcaldy, Fife born left half Bill Collier played Army football with The Black Watch and The Forfar Yeomanry during the First World War before joining Inverkeithing Juniors in 1918, from where he signed for Raith Rovers in 1919. He played representative football in 1921-22 for The Home Scots against The Anglo Scots and was chosen to represent Scotland when they played Wales at The Racecourse Ground, Wrexham in February 1922, a match Scotland lost 2-1. He moved south to join Second Division Sheffield Wednesday in the 1924 close season making his Football League debut at Crystal Palace that August, and he played 14 times for The Owls during 1924-25 before joining non league Kettering Town the following summer. He later joined Dartford in 1926.
