Blackburn, Lancashire born centre half Thomas Chadwick began his football career with Blackburn St Philip’s from where he joined Everton in 1901, making his Football League debut against Blackburn Rovers in February 1902, his only appearance in his debut season. A fringe player throughout his time at Goodison Park, the most of his first team participation for The Toffees in any season amounted to 11 appearances in 1906-07 as Everton finished third in the League Championship.
In total he made 22 appearances for Everton over seven seasons before signing for Preston North End in the 1908 close season. However he made only 9 appearances for The Lambs before the year end and returned to Everton in 1909, spending a further season at Goodison Park as cover, without making a further first team appearance. He then joined non league Great Harwood in 1910 before his eventual retirement.
