Bedford born centre forward Albert Brown had the briefest of League careers. After joining Central Alliance club Kettering Town after the First World War, he was signed by Third Division (South) club Luton Town in the 1922 close season, making his Football League debut, and only first team appearance for The Hatters in a 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic at Kenilworth Road in the first match of the new season in August. The experienced Bob Thompson replaced him at centre forward and Brown returned to Kettering, his last recorded club, in 1923.
