Annesley born full back Percy Barratt joined Annesley St Albans after the First World War before joining Nottingham Forest in 1919, for whom he made his Second Division debut against Stockport County in September 1919. After 21 matches in 1919-20 he struggled for a place in the Forest first eleven until 1924, whereafter he was a regular starter for 5 seasons, playing his final game of 230 appearances in April 1930, scoring 17 times of which 15 were from the penalty spot. In 1930 he joined non league Grantham before retirement.
