Description
Poplar, London born inside forward William Silor began his football career with junior clubs Eton Mission and Sultan before joining Southern League Leyton in 1907, having a single season with the East London club, scoring 4 times in 23 appearances. He joined Norwich City in May 1908, and scored 7 times in 27 appearances for them, including a hat-trick in April 1909 against his former club Leyton, before joining West Ham United in May 1909. His spell at West Ham was less successful, he managed only 6 first team appearances in March and April of 1910 without scoring before moving once again, to Croydon Common in the close season of 1910. He scored 3 times in 14 Southern League and FA Cup appearances for The Commoners before joining Chatham in the summer of 1911. He appeared for Chatham in a 3-0 defeat in the Kent Senior Cup Final against Catford Southend at Maidstone in April 1912 and subsequently joined Margate in December 1913, finishing his career with them in 1914.
