Description
Stone, Staffordshire born winger Billy Williamson began his football career with North Staffs Nomads in 1904 and joined First Division Stoke as an amateur in 1906, making his Football League debut at Woolwich Arsenal in November 1906. He made 3 appearances in his debut season and five more in 1907-08 before joining Crewe Alexandra in 1908. He returned to Football League action with Leicester Fosse in 1910, playing twice in their first eleven before the year end, before re-joining by now Birmingham & District League Stoke in 1911. After a relatively brief stay he joined Wellington Town later the same year.
