Northallerton, Yorkshire born inside forward Bob Walker began his senior football career with Heart of Midlothian in 1905, but didn’t make their first eleven before signing for First Division Middlesbrough in 1905, making his Football League debut at Derby County in January 1906. He scored 3 goals in 14 appearances for ‘Boro but at the end of the season he left Ayresome Park to join Southern League Tottenham Hotspur. At Spurs he scored 3 times in 25 appearances in their final Southern League campaign before joining New Brompton (now Gillingham) in 1907, moving to Northampton Town a year later.
He helped Northampton to win the Southern League Championship in 1908-09, and had two seasons at The County Ground before joining Millwall Athletic in 1910. He moved to Luton Town in 1911 before finishing his career at Bristol Rovers, whom he joined in 1912.
