North Shields born full back Bert Tulloch played football locally for Scotswood in 1913 before joining Second Division Blackpool in 1914 making his Football League debut against Leicester Fosse in October that year. Although he quickly established himself in The Seasiders’ first team making 26 appearances in his debut season, the advent of The First World War interrupted his career, but when peacetime football resumed he returned to Bloomfield Road and played 5 more seasons for The Tangerines, never scoring in 196 appearances before he retired in 1924.
