Description
Chirbury, Shropshire born winger Douglas Trentham started his football career with Mickle Trafford in 1936 from where he joined First Division Everton in 1937, making his Football League debut at Blackpool that September and scoring six times in 16 appearances through to January 1938. He played only once more, however, scoring against Leeds United in a 4-0 victory in Everton’s title winning 1938-39 season, before the Second World War effectively ended his career. After the War he played for Ellesmere Port Town before retirement.
He was the younger brother of West Bromwich Albion full back Bert Trentham.
