Brentford born winger George Taylor started his football career in 1919 with Brentford Thursday before joining hometown club Brentford in 1920, making his Football League debut against Bristol Rovers that November. He played 23 times that season before a move to Millwall in the summer of 1921, where over 2 seasons he scored once in 28 appearances. He joined Clapton Orient in 1923 but failed to make their first eleven and retired from the professional game thereafter.
