Clowne, Derbyshire born wing half Elijah Siviter began his football career with Langwith Colliery in 1930 and played for Shirebrook in 1931. From there he joined Third Division (North) Mansfield Town in the summer of 1932 for their second League campaign, making his Football League debut in a 7-1 thrashing of Hartlepools United at Field Mill on the last day of the season in May 1933. Oddly, his only other League appearance came in the same fixture in August 1933, this time Hartlepools managed to come away from Mansfield with a 1-1 draw.
Siviter left Mansfield in 1934 and had an itinerant career in East Midlands non league football. After leaving Mansfield he joined Ollerton Colliery, he then played for Ripley Town in 1935, Ilkeston United in 1936, Sutton Town in 1937 and finally joined Creswell Colliery in 1938.
