Richmond, North Yorkshire born inside forward Harry Sargeaunt played for Felling Colliery and Seaton Delavel after the First World War before joining Second Division Hull City in October 1920 making his Football League debut at Leeds United at the end of that month. He scored 9 goals in 17 appearances that season but only featured a further 7 times in 1921-22, before joining Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 1922. However he couldn’t get into their first eleven, and returned to the North East with Blyth Spartans later in 1922, re-joining Seaton Delaval in 1923 and playing for Penkridge in 1925 before a return to Football League action with Durham City in 1926, scoring 7 goals in 28 appearances during their 1926-27 campaign before joining non league Preston Colliery in 1927.
