Birkenhead, Cheshire born inside right Alfred Robinson joined Everton after the First World War and made his Football League debut at Sheffield Wednesday in April 1920, his only first team appearance for The Toffees during his two years at Goodison Park. In the 1921 close season he joined Third Division (North) club Tranmere Rovers and played 8 matches for Rovers over two seasons at Preston Park, scoring on his last appearance in a 2-1 defeat to Crewe Alexandra in January 1923, before joining non league Wallasey United later in 1923.
